Consumer Products Company is looking for a team-oriented individual to develop and organize in-house and external
operation systems while specifically supporting entire supply chain and demand planning. The Director of
Operations will report directly to our VP of Operations. This role will provide for superior customer
satisfaction through continuous improvement of all activities. Position will require hands-on as wells as
supervisory involvement in critical activities such as forecasting/ demand planning, production planning,
inventory management, co-packer communication, 3PL storage and freight, quality assurance, data
analysis, and cross-functional communication. It is understood that this position will play a key role in -
and be accountable for - achieving annual company goals as they pertain to sales, margin, and customer
service.
Key focus will be to ensure cost effective availability of finished goods through optimization of the entire
supply chain. This will require managing finished goods inventory and production scheduling, be
responsible for supporting customer service with on-time and in-full delivery of customer orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategic planning for Quality, deliver overall corporate quality objectives and key
sound quality practices
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance on all related programs and systems, and must
- Ensure collaboration with cross-functional partners to ensure achievement of standards and
- Determine the staffing needs of QA Function and ensure staffing is adequate to meet objectives
- Represent the Company as a key subject matter expert for all regulatory, food safety, and quality
- Support development and implementation of the QSM including foundational QA
retention program, and first article approved products
- Oversee managing of analyzing trends and issues to drive corrective actions and preventive actions
continuous improvement
- Establish management of audits, audit results and trends in audits ensuring that we are consistently
- Direct creation and management of certification documentation and application submission for new
- Serve as a liaison between vendors, copackers, and customers on quality initiatives
- Educate the organization regarding food safety trends, understanding food safety trends and plan
- Support development and implementation of QA programs that include elements such as Recall
program
- Stay abreast of and understand government food safety compliance and regulation and how it
- Direct ever-changing regulations, customer requirements, and technology as related to
- Manage the product recall process, and drive preparedness.
- Ensure products meet corporate standards as well as all applicable government regulations
- Coach, develop and mentor team to ensure their ongoing career development.
- 8+ years experience in CPG manufacturing, food, or beverage
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
- Ability to work in a company with an entrepreneurial/non-structured environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as web-based applications
- Experience managing relationships with co-packers
- Strong technical skills in process improvements, and materials management.
- Strong financial background a huge plus
- A master of creating order out of chaos
- Passion for food, fitness, nutrition, entrepreneurship and sustainability
- Position will based in NY and require in-office attendance in Long Island based office.
- Up to 50% travel required including in-person attendance at company meetings in New York
