The Space ISAC serves to facilitate collaboration across the global space industry to enhance our ability to prepare for and respond to vulnerabilities, incidents, and threats; to disseminate timely and actionable information among member entities; and to serve as the primary communications channel for the sector with respect to this information.
Job Description:
The Director of Operations will support workforce development initiatives, programs, and events for Space Information and Sharing Analysis Center (Space ISAC), reporting to the Executive Director. The DIrector of Operations works with a wide variety of community and government agencies, educational institutions, employers, businesses and other groups to identify comprehensive needs and strategies to fill the workforce pipeline and create career pathways for Space ISAC Watch Center Fellows and Interns. The Director of Operations will also support operational strategies, event management and execution, business development initiatives, and outreach.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan events strategy and awareness related to Space ISAC initiatives.
- Support recruitment and selection, performance coaching, transition evaluation, communication and building shared vision with workforce partners.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with public-sector, private-sector employers to identify strategic initiatives and collaborative partnerships for Space ISAC.
- Support grant development and administration, budget development, procurement as needed.
- Gather labor market information, talent demand and skills requirements to create responsive workforce development strategies for Watch Center Fellows and Interns.
- Provide opportunities for business and industry to assist with the development of training programs to include: internships, job shadowing and work-based learning.
- Work with workforce development agencies, non-profit organizations and others to ensure alignment and execution of collaborative workforce strategies to meet the growing and evolving demands.
- Develop clear metric strategies to assess benchmarks and milestones for workforce development initiatives.
- Provide event support for Space ISAC events and programs.
- Collaboration across teams for business development related to Space ISAC membership initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director in response to a rapidly growing and changing environment.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Experience working with ISACs and the Space ISAC.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience developing strategies and programs that support Workforce development.
- Minimum 10 years of experience within a space-related industry.
- Experience in operations and program management.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience leading individuals and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience in supervision and team-based management; managing a diverse group of projects and staff.
- Familiar with non-profit programs and funding requirements.
- Experience in event management and execution.
- Proficient in MS Office and suite products.
