Job Description
The Soccer Shots San Diego SDCC Director of Operations is responsible for management related to Soccer Shots programming, growth and exceptional coaching staff throughout the entire territory. As a leader in the franchises leadership team, this Director is responsible for:
- Setting an example in the areas of personal character, commitment, communication, and work habits;
- Following established plans and strategies to strengthen the current business while expanding the customer base; and
- Demonstrating excellent customer service through both professional and timely communication at all times.
- Meet weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines to ensure the team is adequately staffed for planned growth and program excellence.
- Develop systems, follow and update Core Processes.
*Coach/Team Management
- Recruiting, interviewing, and on-boarding coaches
- Training, teaching, and providing instruction to coaches
- Scheduling coaches
- Managing department staff to include Coaching Coordinator(s) and seasonal interns
- Managing equipment, gear, and supplies
- Executing season start weeks and in-season responsibilities
- Leading coach team meetings and special events
- Executing season start weeks and in-season responsibilities; Oversee all office functions
- Accountable for all scheduling for 20-50 people at 200+ different locations
- Manages online platforms, Configio, When I Work, Google Drive
- Creates and maintains master calendar
- Oversees all operation accountabilities
- Accountable for customer experience online and over phones
- Continually streamlines processes and systems for better productivity
- Responsible for department accountability and communicates the need for new coaches to recruiter
- Partners with Department Heads
- Maintains professionalism in office appearance and culture
- Upholds customer and employee process and policy
- Responsible for mentoring direct reports
- Responsible for running weekly department meetings
- Key member of Leadership Team L10s (EOS Worldwide Operating System)
- Represents Soccer Shots at community and Soccer Shots run events, a minimum of 1 time per quarter
- Responsible for departments inventory & purchasing / budget
- Responsible for payroll systems, employee timesheets and 401k program
- 3-5 years of management experience
- 2-3 years of scheduling 20+ employees
- 1-2 years of experience in payroll systems, 401k programs, accounts payable/receivable
- Degree in Business Management, Business Administration or Finance preferred
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Reliable transportation to travel to classes all over San Diego and San Diego County
- The ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
- Proof of TB test within the past 2 years from date of hire OR proof of TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
- Proof of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or enrolled within first 1 year of employment
- Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification must be completed within 2 months of the start date; Pediatric CPR Certification must be reissued every 2 years
- Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required
- Continued training in Child Development, Education, and Leadership
- Certified in positive discipline
- Availability 90% of Soccer Shots business hours, Saturdays required
As the Director of Operations, two working afternoons/evenings are required, at least one of which will include coaching. Shared coverage of some Saturday or Sunday mornings is also required (phone, cancellations, subbing, etc.). At times, position is required to stand, run, walk and communicate in an outdoor environment through duration of work assignment.

Work Schedule
When Soccer Shots is out of season (approximately 18 weeks a year) the expected working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional events may require flexible hours for evenings or weekends.
When Soccer Shots is in season (approximately 42 weeks a year) the expected working hours will vary depending on schedules and staffing of coaches. Start weeks, make-up dates, special events, etc., are times when flexible hours are needed.

Work Location
All leadership team members and staff are expected to work from the Soccer Shots Office. Remote work can be approved as needed. Weekly meetings will take place at the office (92111).
Classification
This is a full-time and salaried position with access to medical, dental, and vision benefits. Minimum of 40 hours a week is required, with additional hours sometimes needed to meet deadlines and goals. Salary and benefits begin after initial 90 day period. Vacation Days PTO begins after 9 months of employment.

- Meets seasonal performance goals. Goes above and beyond expectations to develop, teach, and train a high-quality team of coaches every season.
- Adheres to all company policies and represents Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.
