POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Director of Operations
Department: Operations
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Supervises: Office Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The position primarily manages the daily operations of Octet Medical Inc.’s main office and departments. Additional responsibilities include coordinating communication between department heads, relaying important messages, streamlining administrative procedures, and implementing policy changes as instructed by upper management.
RESPONSIBILITIES and roles
- Oversee day-to-day company operations.
- Define and implement operations strategy, structure, policy, and processes.
- Consult with the CEO and negotiate contracts.
- Identify, define, and analyze key performance indicators.
- Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities
- Monitor performance to identify efficiency issues and propose solutions proactively
- Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of Operations.
- Coordinate support to operations throughout the business.
- Provide regular performance updates to the senior management team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated project and budget management skills.
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles.
- Understanding of Human Resource management, policies, and documentation.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build a consensus
- Proficiency in MS Office
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
- 5-10 years of supervisory experience in operations or related field
- Multi-team management experience
- Preferred P&L responsibility preferred

- High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
- Working knowledge of all standard office equipment (e.g., copy machines, scanners, printers); and
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
