Position:Director of Operations

Reports to: CEO

Objective: The Director of Operations is accountable for expanding and maintaining company revenue by fostering the development, growth and guidance of employees. Additionally, they are tasked with guaranteeing the effective execution of Country Mile’s mission.

We aim to positively impact the lives of over 50,000 members across the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions. Through exceptional service and a commitment to community, we strive to empower individuals to achieve their fitness goals and lead healthier, happier lives.

Locations: 14 Anytime Fitness clubs located across: Iowa (5), Illinois (1), Michigan (6) and Pennsylvania (2)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on long term strategies for success
• Design and implement effective staff meetings
• Promote and ensure a positive, thriving company culture
• Responsible for hitting budgeted total net income
• Recruit, train, develop, and lead the Regional Management team
• Clearly communicate and implement company changes, promotions, and plans to staff
• Establish company budgets
• Identify under-performers and conduct disciplinary action if coaching is not a solution
• Analyze monthly profit/loss statements
• Responsible for hitting budgeted topline revenue targets
• Offer ideas and insights for company growth and change
• Collaborate with the Regional Management team on marketing and promotional campaigns
• Cover all roles pertaining to assigned locations when needed

• Proficient in utilizing technology and software relevant to the fitness industry.

Work Environment: Time will be split between working with staff in the clubs and remote.

Work Hours: Position is full-time (40+ hours a week) Monday through Saturday. At times additional hours may be required, sometimes on short notice. Community-sponsored events may also be expected outside of normal business hours.

Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: A relevant bachelor’s degree or higher in the Fitness, Kinesiology, Business Management, Business Administration, Physiology, or Wellness Field. A nationally accredited Personal Training Certification is also valuable.

Travel: A Director of Operations will travel to the clubs 3-4 days per month. The remainder of time will be spent working remotely.

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000. Salary based on applicant's experience and qualifications.

Incentives: Goal based bonuses.
