White Pine Care Center is seeking a Director of Nursing to join our team!
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for interdisciplinary involvement in the development of plans of care to meet each resident's needs
- Oversee/direct/coordinate nursing staff to provide proper resident care consistent with standard nursing practices
- Keep current with the changes in all regulations related to resident care
- Communicate with attending physician and medical director regarding resident care issues as needed
- Assure provision of appropriate medication, treatments and nursing services according to care plans and physician’s instructions
- Assure compliance with state/federal regulations and company standards
- Perform direct care/procedures when needed; such may include procedures for which the staff is not qualified or licensed to perform
- Develop and verify implementation of Plan of Correction (POC)
- Attend Quality Assurance (QA) meetings
- Review any/all regulatory reports (2567, Quality Monitoring reports, Quality Indicators, etc.)
- Review resident clinical records
- Review facility reports (facility QA reports and Simple CFS reports, etc.)
- Review consultant reports and provide feedback on any POC
- Communicate and coordinate with physicians, discharge planners or appropriate facility representatives from health care facilities regarding resident admissions, transfers and discharges as needed
- Communicate and supervise nursing personnel with respect to professional conduct and counsel employees about job performance as needed
- Provide training to the pertinent facility staff
- Use diplomacy but firmness in settling any disputes, complaints, etc. concerning nursing personnel or residents or families in conjunction with the administrator
Position Requirements:
- RN (Registered Nurse) in good standing in the state of Nevada
- Valid CPR certification
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge using nursing systems and tracking/assessment tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and possess a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of legal regulations preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in healthcare
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
