DediCare Solutions is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the organization. The individual must continue to cultivate a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. The Director of Nursing must be a Registered Nurse with 2 years of administrative experience preferred and 5 plus years as a successful caregiver in a combination of hospital, facility and in home care placement. The individual must be a self-starter, independent thinker and able to problem solve on a dime.
Pay is dependent on part-time or full-time employment.
Responsibilities
- Direct, oversee and evaluate all caregivers in the field including nurses.
- Oversee hiring of all nursing field staff and, eventually, clinical supervisors.
- Assess potential new cases and make recommendations to leadership team.
- Update care plans as needed and complete bi-annual supervisory visits.
- Ensure semi monthly trainings are sent out in a timely manner
- Communicate with client families as needed.
- Implement nursing policies.
- Ensure client appointments are communicated/coordinated and properly documented within client’s schedule and file.
- Complete caregiver assessments and nursing portion of orientation including hands on training as appropriate.
- Ensure all caregivers are trained when assigned to shifts to ensure consistent and strong coverage.
- Complete med sets and nurse visits, as needed.
- May be required to cover shifts as needed including clients that use a trach and/or vent.
- Assist in weekend and holiday on call rotation.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Skills
- Registered Nursing Degree Required.
- Proven experience as Director of Nursing.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes
- Knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
- Ability to work with trach and vent patients of all ages
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Degree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
- Valid Michigan Drivers License

Pay: $24,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
