Director of Marketing
We are looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to direct and oversee our Marketing department. You will design, implement, and monitor effective marketing strategies that drive the brand's long-term strategic development and contribute to the company's sales and growth objectives.
Our ideal candidate has a diverse marketing background and experience managing a variety of end-to-end projects, including both B2B and B2C campaigns. Our Director of Marketing will report directly to the COO and will oversee internal marketing teams in LA.
To be successful in this role, you will also work closely with cross-functional teams at other remote and international locations to develop marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives.
Location: This position may be based at our location in Los Angeles, CA or may also be Remote.
Some occasional travel will be required (15-25%).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness and generate business leads.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop marketing tools including catalogs, price lists, online educational resources, and ordering platforms.
- Assist in developing go-to-market strategies and work in collaboration with Sales and Product Development teams implementing product launch plans.
- Plan and execute industry tradeshows and events to generate new customers and improve brand loyalty.
- Understand and incorporate key business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendar to achieve set objectives.
- Collaborate with external PR teams to create a PR calendar, manage media relationships, and develop industry partnerships.
- Create brand assets to effectively work in an omni-channel environment, ensuring digital assets are in place and optimized.
- Monitor all marketing campaigns and performance, improving and reporting back on plan execution as necessary.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the Executive team.
- Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities for growth.
- Manage and direct the marketing team and external agencies, advising on continued personnel needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of Marketing experience with prior experience in Sleep or Furniture industry a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated successful people leadership experience.
- Strong leadership skills with a strategic mindset and ability to make difficult decisions.
- Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing.
- Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques, familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce) a plus.
- Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports.
- Able to demonstrate a track record of innovative thinking and the ability to translate creative ideas into actionable marketing strategies.
