Position: Director of Information Solutions
Salary: $170,000 - $180,000 /salary
Location: Linden, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Job Description:
Under the overall guidance of the CEO, the Director of Information Solutions provides strategic leadership and overall direction to all information technology solutions, application portfolio initiatives, activities, and operations in support of the company and its subsidiaries. They will oversee and direct the subsidiaries Information Solutions personnel and holds accountability for the solution and service delivery provided by contracted services.

Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities:
- Hires and train IS staff.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IS team.
- Provide technology and business process leadership, coaching MVA’s IS staff to exceed expectations in Service Delivery.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Functional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the success of Project Evergreen: NetSuite ERP Implementation and related subprojects.
- Accountable for supporting ERP initiatives across the MVA landscape in alignment with business strategy.
- Primary responsibilities include program management (managing and processing vendor SOW’s, CO’s, invoices, accruals, and program forecasting) and program intake (triage and prioritization of requests, and monitoring initiative status).
- Understand business needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform Information Solutions response to the business strategies.
- Identifies innovative new technology solutions to enable effective and efficient service to MVA’s customers.
- Ensures the Application Portfolio and Technology Services are well-maintained, value-adding, and risk-managed.
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s Information Solutions department.
- Develops and directs business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Reviews the operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and like metrics of the IT infrastructure and Application Portfolio to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions consistent to job functions, strategies, and Mid Valley’s vision and values.
- Assure IS compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- At least 5 years of experience managing an Information Systems department
- Comprehensive understanding of Information Systems and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
- Proficient in latest technology for IS/IT systems and management.
- Fully versed in managing people, budgets, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams to achieve demonstrable results.
- Ability to lead and contribute to organizational transformation and change initiatives.
- Proven track record engaging and managing third party vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Risk Management (CRISC).
- Demonstrated experience with project management and delivery.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute preferred.
- Proven track record with on-time and on-budget project delivery.
- Proven track record in business engagement and project execution.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred
- Experience working with Blend ERP preferred.
- Experience working with TCS point of sales preferred.
- Experience working with Next Technik preferred.
- Experience working for medium to large organizations.
- Experience driving innovation initiatives and deriving standards based on best practices.
- Agricultural and Retail knowledge would be ideal.
- Experience with managing Business Intelligence (BI), data warehouse, analytical reporting tools, programs, or stacks.
- Experience forecasting and tracking to project and program financial targets
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred (or equivalent experience).
