This position is responsible for maintaining an effective workforce to meet the agency’s mission and vision while ensuring compliance with HR laws, regulations, and funding sources; managing accident/incident reporting; ensuring comprehensive insurance coverage; and other reporting as deemed necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit viable candidates to serve as staff to meet the human resource needs of the agency and its programs – including advertising, reviewing, selecting, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
- Onboard selected individuals – including ensuring proper background checks are completed, completing employment eligibility verification, managing orientation, ensuring the completion of required paperwork, and ensuring staff are well-equipped and prepared for success in their position.
- Administrate staff benefits – including health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, etc.
- Ensure the agency’s personnel policies and procedures are up-to-date and strictly adhered to.
- Ensure all staff are formally evaluated by their supervisor 90 days after hire or change in position and annually thereafter.
- Support employee disciplinary action procedures, as necessary.
- Serve as the agency’s point-of-contact for accidents and incidents, including reporting to insurance providers as necessary.
- Support staff health and wellness.
- Stay abreast of laws, regulations, and funding source requirements that effect human resource functions.
DUTIES:
- Ensure available positions are posted internally and externally while also maintain working relationships with external partners to support recruitment efforts.
- Review staff applications,
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date personnel files for each employee – including onboarding paperwork, credentials and certifications, training documents, evaluations, and documentation related to disciplinary action.
- Assist program directors to ensure position job descriptions are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
- Collect and manage human resource-related data; report as required and deemed necessary.
- Complete agency legal standing paperwork as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a business-related field required; masters degree preferred
- Certification in human resource management
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum ten years experience in human resource functions, preferably in a non-profit setting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and oral)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Impeccable organization and ability to multi-task regularly
- Awareness of diversity and inclusiveness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
