Job Description
An ideal candidate will have-experience as an HR Manager or a newer HR Director looking to develop and expand upon their HR skills to begin elevating them to the next step in growth. The HR Department, of one, will serve as a business partner in the firm who can effectively perform both administrative and strategic HR. As the company grows, the HR department will increase accordingly.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Be a current HR Manager or a newer HR Director looking to develop and expand upon their HR skills to begin elevating them to the next step in growth.
- Experience in Real Estate industry. Experience with Real Estate Developer preferred.
Schedule & On-Site:
- Monday - Friday
- On-site position; some flexibility. Must be able to commute daily to the City of Fairfax, VA office.

- Work alongside 10-15 corporate team members/departments and continue building the corporate team by recruiting 10-15 additional people within the next several months.
- Oversee all HR functions with a focus on recruitment, strategic HR, Safety and Compliance, Training and Development, Talent Management, Benefits, and other administrative HR.

An ideal candidate should possess the below skills/experience:
- At least 10 years of HR Management and/or a newer Director looking to take that next growth step with their experience (all functions) including recruitment and selection.
- Experience as HR department of one with past success of building, implementing, and maintaining HR infrastructure and employee satisfaction and people focused culture.
- Extensive Recruiting, selection and onboarding experience is required.
- HR management / recruiting experience in Architecture, Engineering, Design, Construction industry a plus.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications required.
- Knowledge and experience in the following: Compensation and Benefits, Safety and Compliance, Training and Development and Talent Management
- Agility, high EQ, self-starter, excellent communicator, exemplifies positivity (finding solutions)
- Extreme confidentiality, attention to detail and outstanding internal and external customer service
- Experience in building and managing an HR team for growing company.
- Other HR related duties as needed.
