Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to join our dynamic team at Boxabl. The Human Resources Director is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by establishing and cultivating a work environment that attracts, motivates and retains Boxabl human capital. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing Human Resources strategies, policies, rules and procedures, that align with our company's goals and values.
With our rapid growth and expansion, this is an excellent opportunity to make significant organizational impact. The position requires superior leadership behaviors of the Boxabl core competencies and non-negotiables, as well as expertise in functional competencies included in this position profile. The Human Resources Director will raise the bar for all things talent with a focus on talent management and talent development, in support of our continued growth, scale and evolution. It is critical that this Human Resources Director develop and implement a proactive approach to workforce planning and pipeline management, with flawless execution, to remain competitive and aggressive in attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent in a highly competitive talent environment.
The Human Resources Director reports directly to the CFO, is a member of and will work closely with members of the senior management team and the C-Suite to help set vision and leadership for all Human Resources components toward the elevation of a dynamic, inclusive, and equitable organizational culture and position the company as “Best-in-Class”.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement scalable people/talent strategies, policies, rules and procedures that align with Boxabl's business objectives.
- Partners with the Senior Management Team and the C-Suite to review business strategies and priorities and align people resources to execute strategies. In doing so, this person will develop deep relationships with employees at all levels to elevate the people’s function on both an individual and team scale. Also, provides leadership and guidance to the Senior Management team and the C-Suite on HR-related matters.
- Serves as a role model and champion for a corporate culture that promotes people first. S/he must be able to lead in a helpful, “roll-up their sleeves” manner that is people-centric and non-bureaucratic. The leader must demonstrate warmth, empathy, and a level of approachability that encourages employees across the organization to seek him/her out for advice and counsel. Align the company and employment strategies to help drive high engagement. Lead employer branding efforts
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Implement talent management scalable strategies, policies, rules and procedures including performance management, career development (Including the creation of new training and development programs), and succession planning.
- Build and implement an integrated talent management strategy that drives the appropriate talent acquisition through best-in-class tools and partners as this is a building role. The company has scaled fast, and it is looking for a Human Resources Director that can bring his/her practical insights and best practices to build out a talent acquisition engine to devise and deploy our people and culture strategies for scale and growth. Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs for new hires. Ensure our hiring, onboarding, and management procedures are effective and considers diverse groups.
- Build sustainable competitive advantage through the selection and development of top talent that possesses the capabilities that help the company to deliver its revolutionary mission. Work closely with the leadership team to ensure identification and development of talent pipeline and building robust talent depth for key roles with a focus on inclusion and diversity. Ensure career development programs and initiatives are aligned with required experience and skill development.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Function as a change agent to manage the upgrade of HR and focus areas to support the continued evolution of the organization, while preserving the foundational principles that make us unique in culture.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with Boxabl's values.
- Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend solutions.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.
Performance Management:
- Manage compensation, benefits, and HR processes to create KPI reporting along hiring, employee engagement and organizational health metrics. Must be data-driven to take full responsibility for business decisions to better the organization.
- Implement and manage performance evaluation processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance-related matters.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of our workforce.
- Generate the right partnerships with external organizations (e.g. Universities) to support our growth.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement with focus on learning and professional development.

Experience and Education
- Top-notch business partnership skills, including leadership coaching, talent development, and execution focus. Business savvy – ability to influence and integrate diverse areas of management.
- A strategic thinker—someone who is ahead of the curve with a “no surprises” mindset and a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to execute both operationally and strategically. Not only develops the strategy, but the plan and drives to execution.
- Excellent leadership abilities. Hands-on, natural leadership style with the demeanor, business maturity, intellect and integrity required to establish immediate credibility.
- Determined and resilient in the face of challenges and setbacks.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and exemplary communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate up, down, and across the company.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills and the ability to translate complex projects into straightforward communications.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Proven experience as an HR leader with at least 3 years in a director or senior management role.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Certification like PHR and SPHR is a plus.
