Job Summary/Basic Function

Maryville University is seeking a motivated and creative Director of Digital Marketing to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the University's digital presence, supporting social media strategies and promoting the Maryville brand. As a key member of the Strategic Marketing and Communications team, you will contribute to the development and execution of Digital Marketing initiatives that attract prospective students, engage alumni, and delight stakeholders.
Digital strategy, social media management, content creation and management, email marketing, data analysis, maintaining brand consistency, support with paid and organic advertising with a strong collaborative mindset.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Development and Execution of Digital Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute comprehensive Digital Marketing strategies that align with Maryville University's overall marketing goals and brand identity.
• Social Media: Sit at the helm of Maryville’s social media presence by managing and creating content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and analyze performance to optimize strategies across the university ecosystem. Create synergy and lift with organic social media to align with vendor partners.
• Content Creation: Flex your creative muscles by generating compelling and relevant digital content, including long-form content, graphics, short reels, and infographics, to engage the university's target audience and convey the Maryville brand effectively.
• Content Management: Working with our Director of UX and aligning to SEO best practices, contributing to front-end website content and change management.
• Email Marketing: Work with other teams across the university to plan and execute email marketing campaigns to engage current students, alumni, and prospective students. Monitor email performance, continuously test strategies, and optimize campaigns.
• Data Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to track the performance of Digital Marketing efforts, compile reports, and provide insights to drive decision-making and improvements.
• Brand Consistency: Working with our Director of Brand Activation, ensure consistency of the Maryville University brand across all digital channels and materials, adhering to brand guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.).
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
• Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce) with the desire to continuously learn the platform.
• Familiarity with digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
• Strong understanding of current Digital Marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices.
• Experience in social media management and content creation, with a knack for identifying and adapting to emerging trends.
• Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Digital Marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Digital Marketing, with a proven track record of success in running multi-channel digital campaigns.
