As an innovative charter in its early stages, it is essential that this leader takes hands-on stance in coaching and modeling in the learning spaces. Under the direction of the Executive Director, act as a resource to support curriculum development, teacher development, and instructional programs designated to enhance student achievement; plans, implements, and evaluates all aspects of the Mandarin Immersion Program including compliance, curriculum development, and professional development; conducts program evaluations and makes recommendations for modifications based upon data analysis; oversees all aspects of support related to the Irvine International Academy Petition; works in collaboration with other instructional coordinators; develop systems for progress monitoring, educator training; collaborate with and contribute to a dynamic Instructional Leadership Team; ensures that the Mandarin Immersion Program (MIP) is aligned to the Schools overall educational program.
Possesses a valid California teaching credential with BCLAD; Bachelor's degree required, with relevant degree and/or content expertise in both English and Mandarin; MA or above desired, as well as Administrative Credential program enrollment consideration.
