Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director the Director of Client Services is responsible for the operations and growth of AWP’s client specific programming, as well as successful implementation of housing, hotline, and victim advocacy services of the agency. This position provides supervision, support, and consultation for the direct service program staff to ensure seamless services to survivors. The Director works with AWP’s Program Managers to develop and implement effective programs and strategies to serve survivors of domestic violence. This position coordinates programs with outside agencies and community groups and provides community education as necessary. This position provides personnel supervision of the direct service staff. Must have the ability to think globally, solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIIPS: Reports to the Executive Director. Works cooperatively with Senior Leadership and other AWP staff and volunteers.

OTHER RELATIONSHIPS: Community members and partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the daily operations of Client Services including the safe house, rapid rehousing, hotline, and victim response programs.
  • Provide programmatic and administrative supervision to client service managers.
  • Develop, expand, and strengthen coordinated case management and comprehensive victims’ assistance.
  • Maintain accurate case records and program statistics in compliance with funding requirements and objectives and submit necessary reports to supervisor.
  • Conduct domestic violence awareness trainings and outreach for community groups and service providers.
  • Ensure seamless operation of the DV program, staff supervision, evaluation, and training
  • Provide oversight of shelter placement, crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, shelter and hotline coverage to ensure quality delivery of services and expected outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and compile statistical data in a timely manner
  • Provide monthly reports to supervisor of program’s outcomes and compliance
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, improve existing services, and identify new needs
  • Follow all legal and ethical guidelines pertaining to the treatment of youth and families, per state and county requirements (e.g., child abuse report, confidentiality, grievance procedures, and serious incident reporting).
  • Develop, manage and recommend an annual budget for Client Services, providing regular income and expense reporting.
  • Prepare program and financial reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance and accurate reporting on all program grants
  • Seek out new opportunities to expand programming.
  • Assist in grant application and seek out new opportunities for funding.
  • Maintain and build relationships with community partners.
  • Successfully complete all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Master degree in relevant field or a combination of relevant experience.
  • Five plus years of progressive experience in non-profit program management and leadership.
  • Bi-lingual and multi-lingual preferred

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • 33/34 Clearance.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Valid vehicle insurance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Operation of office equipment.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • Willingness and ability to work varied hours, including nights and weekends and be on call.
  • Exposure to cleaning supplies, office chemicals, paint, and insecticides.
