Job Description
In this role, you will secure new business for the company"s portfolio of DMPK, Bioanalytical and Preclinical services, securing new accounts, and growing existing accounts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in their assigned regions.
As part of a dynamic team, BD plays a critical role in identifying areas of growth, and aligning our DMPK, Bioanalytical and Preclinical offerings with the current trends in drug discovery and development.
Since its inception, our client has been assisting pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies with their drug development efforts by providing a full range of Neuropharmacology, DMPK, Toxicology, Bioanalysis, Translational Medicine, Early Phase Clinical and Phase II - IV Clinical Research services. Establish and execute a comprehensive strategic territorial sales plan.
o Account planning, execution, and forecasting.
o Plan, coordinate, and execute all client sales activities and sales processes from lead generation through closure including prospecting, networking, cold-calling, meetings, presenting, following up and negotiating.
o Effectively utilize CRM (Salesforce.com).
o Respond immediately to all requests by clients or QPS management.
Sign new business proposals and achieve corporately assigned sales targets.
o Generate Request for Proposals (RFPs) from new clients for QPS" small molecules, biotherapeutics (proteins, gene therapy, and cell therapy), and elemental Bioanalysis and Preclinical (ADME, toxicology, and neuropharmacology) services.
o Generate Request for Proposals (RFPs) from existing clients.
Network and relationship-build at Senior/Decision-maker level across key accounts.
o Develop new clients and leverage existing client relationships and profiles.
o Represent and promote QPS at industry meetings.
Drive sales to closure working in conjunction with other functions and other BD staff.
o Work closely and effectively with BD colleagues.
o Share knowledge, skills, and contacts with BD team.
o Build and leverage internal relationships and resources to support field sales, e.g., Marketing, Finance, Technical Operations, etc.
o Work cross-culturally, inter-department, inter-subsidiary, and accommodate communications across global time zones.
o Direct and coordinate client visits to QPS" facilities, including pre-visit strategy meetings and agenda.
Communicate field and account activity to Supervisor, Management and/or appropriate individuals within QPS Operations.
o Prepare activity reports including priorities, plans, and activities.
Frequent travel: as necessary, including client sites, QPS facilities, and industry meetings.
Education/ Experience
-Bachelor"s or Advanced degree in science or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
-Proven record of supervisory experience
-10+ years in hands-on in supporting drug development/DMPK/Pharmaceutical/clinical studies
