As the Director ofBusiness Development and Partnership Alliances, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth by establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with key retailers and brands. We are seeking a highly experienced professional who has previously served as a Chief Information Officer (CIO) or in similar leadership roles within major retailers or brands. Your deep industry expertise will enable you to leverage existing relationships and cultivate new connections to expand our network, reach new markets, and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with the company's goals and growth objectives. Identify and prioritize potential partners, including major retailers, brands, and other industry stakeholders.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with CIOs, top-level executives, and decision-makers within major retailers and brands. Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners, ensuring awareness of Surefront, trust in a consultative partnership and long-term collaboration.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and areas for collaboration with partners to drive revenue growth. Collaborate with the sales team to leverage partnerships in lead generation and customer acquisition efforts.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that align with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential partnership opportunities and address challenges proactively.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product development, marketing, and customer success teams to align partnership activities with overall business objectives. Provide insights and feedback to influence product enhancements and improvements based on partner feedback.
- Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of partnership initiatives. Regularly analyze and report on the impact of partnerships on revenue and other strategic goals.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and establish thought leadership within the retail and brand sector.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in partnership management, Business Development, or sales roles within the SaaS industry, particularly serving retailers and brands.
- Proven track record of establishing and managing successful partnerships with major retailers or brands.
- Previous experience as a CIO or in a similar technology leadership role at one or more retailers or brands is essential.
- Strong understanding of the retail landscape, including industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and drive results independently.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with partners and attend industry events.
