Enabling technologies are ever evolving innovations that have the potential to profoundly increase the independence level of individuals with disabilities and to radically change traditional disability supports.This is a hybrid role; while mostlystandard Monday through Friday, Work From Home,there are virtual meetings and in-office requirements andas well as some travel to the community home environments.SomeEssential Functionsof Position:Builds person-centered, outcome-driven frameworks for technology assessment and implementationDevelops best-practices for the provision and sustainability of remote support service modelsEstablishes tech pilot partnerships and evaluates organizational impactServes on PA Technology Task ForceParticipates in tech first leadership meetings, facilitates Enabling Technology Integration Specialist Community of Practice and Enabling Technology Meet Up GroupAdvocates for technology accessibility and articulates tech first commitment to internal and external stakeholdersPresents on enabling technology topics at conferences and internal/external meetingsCoordinates and certifies understanding of technology implementation plans and manages pilot roll outsEngages tech leaders locally and nationwide to understand and inform best practicesAdvocates for funding for the range of technology needs and supports grant writing efforts to build organizational resourcesPerforms ongoing assessment of technology plans and modifies accordinglyModels a person-centered technology approach during participation in consultations, assessments, and team meetingsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech, Special Education or related Social Services, or Assistive Technology Professional. Must be possess or be willing to complete Enabling Technology Leadership Certification.Must have at least 5 years' professional experience, including the use of enabling and/or assistive technology and some combination of supervisory or administrative experience.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
