Job Summary and Qualifications

The Rehab Technician under the general supervision of the physical therapist and/or occupational therapist is responsible for the assistant of treatment of a wide variety of patients, including, but limited to patients with neurological, orthopedic, cardiac and other medical conditions in the areas of acute, subacute, rehabilitation and outpatient physical therapy and/or occupational treatment plans, as set forth by the therapist. The Rehab Technician must follow the rules and regulation as of this facility and as determined by departmental policies and procedures.

• The Rehab Technician will assist with the cleaning, organization and prepping of the department to help facilitate safe, clean and effective patient treatments and care. The Rehab Technician will assist with clerical duties as assigned by the Supervisor. 
• The Rehab Technician must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span. The Rehab Technician will assist with treatment under the supervision of a therapist for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations without regard to race, color, sex, religion or national origin.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• To be able to read and follow treatment orders of the therapists.

• Experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, physical therapy clinic or rehabilitation setting is desirable. Certification as nursing assistant is preferred and/or present enrollment in a school of physical therapy, technician receives on-the-job training in methods and procedures.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
