Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, Mount St. Dominic Academy
Mount St. Dominic Academy is an independent, all-girls high school, sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Dominic. The school is uniquely situated in western Essex County and draws students from The Caldwells, West Essex, Cedar Grove, Verona, Montclair, Glen Ridge, as well as Bloomfield, Belleville, Newark, The Oranges and several additional towns throughout the state. We seek resumes from qualified individuals of diverse backgrounds interested in the position of Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management.
A pivotal member of the MSDA administrative leadership team, the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management reports to the Head of School and will openly uphold and demonstrate the mission, vision and core values of Mount St. Dominic Academy. The director is responsible for the strategic oversight and high touch professional management of the entire lifecycle of the student relationship at The Mount – from first interest through to enrollment and retention. This is a 12-month, full-time position that requires attendance at evening and weekend admissions events.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Oversight and management of the Admissions Office, including a comprehensive calendar of events and activities to inform, delight and engage prospective families and students including open houses, parent ambassador receptions, freshman for a day visits, student interviews, family tours, entrance exams, accepted students’ day, rookie camp and orientation for new students and families
· Participation in off-campus events to promote The Mount, including school fairs, school visits and relevant community-related activities
· Collaboration with the marketing team on the creation of advertising and admissions materials
· Management of the application review and decision process, as well as scholarship eligibility and interviews in close coordination with the Principal and review committee; followed by coordination of financial aid in close conjunction with the CFO
· Serve as The Mount’s primary resource for information on admissions strategies, the local and regional competitive landscape, and trends and best practices unique to independent schools
· Active engagement in retention efforts in close collaboration with the Head of School, Principal, members of the faculty and counseling staff
· Engage in the life at The Mount in ways that reflect your personal interests (i.e. attend sporting events, moderate a club, chaperone events)
Professional Qualifications:
· More than five years of experience working in an academic environment, preferably in a leadership capacity with admissions expertise preferred
· Deep understanding of the academic, developmental, and social/emotional needs of middle school and high school-aged girls, along with the ability to interact with this group of students with authenticity, warmth and enthusiasm
· Excellent verbal/written communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
· Understanding of inclusive admissions processes with a commitment to attracting and welcoming a diverse group of students and creating a community of belonging
· Experience with Blackbaud, or similar admissions management / CRM software; working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft programs
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
