Director Of Accounting

Seeking a Director of Premium Accounting in Scottsdale, AZ.
Director of Premium Accounting, you will:

• Manage Premium Managers and 20 indirect reports
• Streamline and develop team
• Set goals, KPI's, metrics, create structure
• Departmental Oversight: Oversee the overall operations and performance of the

Premium Accounting Department, including staffing decisions, annual evaluations, and
disciplinary actions.

• Full-cycle AP/All AP aspects/Managed AP functions
• Hired/developed/trained/coached team
• Led/implemented/developed process improvements
• Audit preparation/Assisted with annual audit procedures
• W9/1099 processing/maintaining (this leans into carrier management, timeline management, and detail orientation)

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years management experience
• Experience managing 15+ direct reports
• Proven people leader (enjoyable to work with, collaborative, able to hold people accountable and develop existing and future leaders)
• Excel Knowledge (pivot tables, sorting, v lookups, can identify errors)
• Cash Accrual accounting experience
• Insurance experience/ premium exp. highly desired
• Process and operations driven
• This person must be local to Scottsdale area and Hybrid work schedule.
