We are currently recruiting for the position of:
Director, Merchandising (Floral/Produce) - Modesto, CA
Job Summary:
The Director of Merchandising provides strategic leadership, corporate direction, fiscal responsibility, and accountability across respective departments. The position is responsible for providing a customer experience for assigned product area, across banners that maximize revenue goals. The position directs and coordinates the product life cycle to ensure the company reflects current product trends in the market and public response to products. The position partners with the store operations and pricing and promotions to develop effective pricing approach, and for the improvement in product selection, inventory levels and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

• Lead team members inthe successful and sustainable execution of strategic objectives, plans,programs, and related activities within budget.
• Develop directreports, goals, and analytics to support product categories.
• Maintain vendorrelationships to ensure competitive pricing.
• Lead CategoryManagers to ensure the correct product and inventory levels are available inresponse to demand.
• Build productopportunities by banner through product lines that meet regional product demandand customer demand.
• Maintainrelationships with key vendors to ensure competitive pricing, supply, andavailability.
• Lead design ofcurrent and future merchandising strategies by banner.
• Collaborate withbanner store operations management, marketing, procurement to maximize productlife cycle.
• Perform other relatedduties as required.

Hiring pay range: $154,229.00 - 173,507.00
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability toeffectively manage a wide variety of tasks simultaneously with multipledeadlines

• Comprehensiveknowledge of supply chain concepts and methodologies
• Strong skills withprocurement buying systems and Excel

Experience: 10 years related experience, 7 years Management, Supervisory, and/or leadership experience
Education: 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Other: Up to 25% travel
