Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director, Medication Regulatory & Systems Compliance provides strategic and operational leadership in order to maintain HCA Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) and all of its Affiliates operating in the United States compliance with laws, rules and statutes, on the federal and state/local level. The Director serves as a partner with the Company’s Transfer Centers and Physician Relations teams, as well as other Clinical Services Group partners, included but not limited to, Emergency Services and Emergency Preparedness. Additionally, the Director will collaborate with the Capital Asset Management and Development teams to better prepare for company growth of off-site departments of the hospital, such as FSEDs/PBEDs . In the environment of increasing pressure on regulatory standards, this position is critical to the Company’s mission and clinical strategies. Up to 25% Travel Required

Major Responsibilities:

•Develop and lead the enterprise strategy for medication quality control and infrastructure for emergency medical transport and off-site departments of the hospital, including but not limited to ground & air transport and free-standing emergency departments (FSEDs).

•Develop, and audit, strategies utilized by division pharmacy leaders related to the consistent provision of quality care to all departments of the hospital.

•Lead division emergency medical transport leaders to ensure the Company’s compliance with medical transport and medication management regulations, thereby decreasing the Company’s internal and external risk.

•Collaborate with key development stakeholders to understand and plan for off-site departments of the hospital and ensure medication management regulatory requirements are met prior to site opening.

•Assist AVP, other Corporate leaders, and/or Division leaders, as needed, and present findings and recommendations when concerns exist regarding medication quality and/or regulatory compliance.

•Leads collaboratively as a crosscutting function across multiples corporate teams, committees, and projects as a forward-facing leader to ensure enterprise work products are compliant with external regulatory requirements.

•Partner with the Patient Safety Organization to communicate necessary recalls and other safety events.

•Lead development of robust curriculums for key areas of strategy for the Company to raise standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

•Provides guidance to division and facility quality and medical transport leaders.

•Directs other department processes, as identified by senior department leadership

•Establishes collaborative working relationships within the department, within the Clinical Services Group, and other corporate departments, as well as within the Company’s Groups, Divisions, and Facilities

•Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

•Master's degree preferred

•Doctorate of Pharmacy, or equivalent Required

•5+ year(s) of experience in a leadership role

•Quality Regulatory Certification Required
