Job Description
The Director, Opinion Leader Programming (OLP) GU/Lung will be responsible for proactively communicating and executing on marketing initiatives focused on HCP Peer to Peer education for TRODELVY in mUC and Lung including speaker programs, congresses, advisory boards, speaker training programs, and any special live or virtual programs. The successful candidate is the primary contact for all matters involving peer-to-peer education and management of vendors supporting this work. This role will be based in the Gilead Parsippany, NJ office.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive professional education marketing strategy aligned with company and brand goals across metastatic Urothelial Cancer and Lung Cancer.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with operation requirements for all Speaker Bureau nominations and other HCP engagements including, contracting, documentation, and records retention.
  • Lead development and execution of innovative speaker program enhancements to drive engagement and increase attendance
  • Oversee the development of HCP speaker program content, training materials and live and virtual training programs in adherence with established compliance guidelines.
  • Manage logistics, speaker selection, training, and content delivery for educational events.
  • Gilead Lung Cancer Council (GLCC) and Gilead Urothelial Cancer Council (GUCC) ownership.
  • Advisory Board strategy and execution lead working closely with marketing colleagues and cross functional partners.
  • Lead the 3rd party programming strategy including the execution and vendor management.
  • Assist with the preparation of metrics reporting and provide insights on trends to Marketing & Sales on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.
  • Accountable for functional and operational oversight including direction and budget.
  • Support the development and execution of HCP led field trainings in partnership with sales training and core brand team.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years' Experience, OR
Masters' Degree and Ten Years' Experience, OR
Ph.D. and Eight Years' Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of pharmaceutical marketing or Regional Marketing experience
  • 10 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • Launch experience in Oncology with oral and/or infused oncology specific products
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Knowledge of the GU/Lung marketplace and disease states
  • Existing relationships with key GU/Lung HCPs
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and present to KOLs
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy
  • Ability to gather insights from customer engagements and translate market research findings into actionable insights and tactical plans
  • Ability to understand and communicate clinical data and high-level science
  • Strong capacity to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams. Must work cooperatively with commercial management, clinical development, medical affairs, field sales leadership, regulatory, compliance, market research, and others
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead agencies and other external partners in aligning and developing tactical plans and promotional materials that are aligned with brand strategy
  • Champion materials through medical, legal, regulatory reviews (promotional review) process
  • Travel greater than 25% as dictated by business needs, including overnights and attendance at some nighttime and weekend programs

The salary range for this position is: $201,025.00 - $260,150.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
