The Director of Manufacturing Planning, will lead and grow a dynamic manufacturing team during Noah's NPI commercialization phase through to sustaining. This role will be responsible for leading, managing, improving all aspects of SIOP, Master Scheduling, Planning, Mfg. aspects of Netsuite and warehouse.
The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, all SIOP processes, optimize production schedules, meet customer demands, improve SIOP and Netsuite processes, support NPI, scale manufacturing, reduce cost, improve the overall factory, while maintaining high-quality standards.
A Day In The Life Of Our Director
Manufacturing Planning Operations- Develop and execute a comprehensive Manufacturing Operations (Mfg Ops) strategy aligned with the company's objectives, ensuring production and factory scales accordingly.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Planning, Master Scheduling, Mfg. Ops IT, and Warehouse team during NPI commercialization through sustaining including both US and Overseas Mfg.Ops.
- Manages SIOP processes, planning, master scheduling, inventory and warehouse teams to achieve requirements as well as all Mfg. Ops. aspects of Netsuite.
- Monitor production progress, all inventory levels both US and overseas factories, identify bottlenecks, provide visibility to improvements needed, and implement corrective measures to optimize efficiency, optimize all inventory levels and minimize downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and utilize data analytics to streamline operations, increase productivity, and reduce cost and waste in processes.
- Manages SIOP, Planning, Master scheduling, Netsuite related to Mfg. Ops. and Non-Production purchasing.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve COGS goals.
- Manages inventory levels for FGI, FRU and raw materials for US and Overseas operations.
- Improve processes for areas of responsibility including but not limited SIOP, Planning, Master scheduling, Netsuite related to Manufacturing Operations.
- Hire and train team members to meet requirements.
- Evaluates and Leads IT related changes for Manufacturing, including but not limited to Netsuite ERP improvements and upgrades.
- Oversee related factory improvements and expansions.
- Establish and manage department budget/headcount and develop opportunities for budget reductions.
- Data -oriented, analytical and detailed oriented capable of developing models for optimization yet balanced with the ability to look at the big picture to find best solutions for the business.
- Project management/ process improvement skills; effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions and creates actionable strategies and operational plans.
- Makes customer focused decisions and develops processes to deliver outcomes that meet corporate, operations and sourcing goals.
- Support Good Manufacturing Practices and quality management system in accordance with FDA regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Other related duties.
About You
- Education: BS degree in a technical field or equivalent.
- 15+ years experience in manufacturing, including 10+ years of manufacturing management experience.
- Prior planning and manufacturing experience in a medical device company.
- Strong verbal and written skill with the ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels in the organization.
- Excellent people and project management skills and a proven track record of managing mid-sized to large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in MRP systems, MS office and related systems.
- Experience in Medical Device Design Control processes preferred.
- Experience with sterilization processes preferred.
- Travel as needed up to 1/3 of the month
$180,200 - $247,700 a year
Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.
