The Director, Investment Due Diligence & Reporting manages and leads a team of Due Diligence specialists to determine fund selection in a discretionary and non-discretionary retirement plan program across 5,500 plans, 2,400 financial advisors, and $10B in assets. The Director also manages a team of performance reporting analysts producing customized reports for institutional clients. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure consistency in report production as well as quality control reviews and for ensuring discipline in decision making related to a discretionary program that generates over $4 Million in revenue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages the team of Due Diligence professionals who are responsible for all aspects of Investment Due Diligence and ultimately with fund selection for a discretionary and non-discretionary program with billions in client assets and thousands of financial advisors.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative reviews of funds across more than 27 asset classes for inclusion in the programs.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers of fund companies on a frequent basis.
• Oversee and manage the Quarterly Fiduciary Report which is distributed to all clients on a quarterly basis.
• Lead and analyze "NextGen" programs and other initiatives to ensure competitiveness in the broader marketplace, which includes enhancements to the 3(38) discretionary program as well as a 3(21) non-discretionary program.
• Serves as a portfolio manager of managers, proactively analyzing the work of investment managers.
• Lead and analyze retirement plan investment solutions and partner offerings such as managed accounts, in-plan income, and more.
• Lead and manage a team of performance reporting specialists who create and analyze investment performance reports for institutional relationships for specialist financial advisors.
• Serves as the subject matter expert with respect to complex performance reporting topics such as benchmarks, attribution analysis, and risk/return metrics.
• Ensure adequate resourcing and capacity for the performance reporting team to ensure financial advisors are serviced appropriately.
• Plans, assigns, monitors, reviews, evaluates and leads the work of assigned staff.
• Performs human management activities, including coaching and mentoring staff, evaluating performance; identifying performance problems and approving recommendations for remedial action; and interviewing and selecting staff.

• Financial markets, products, financial advisory function and investment process.
• Investment products and programs offered across retirement plan partners such as recordkeepers and DCIO's.
• Concepts, practices and procedures of business development in a financial services/broker-dealer environment.
• Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations including finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
• Advanced investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry regarding applicable legislation, compliance standards, policies and procedures within assigned business area.
• Quantitative and qualitative understanding of the investment management business and performance measurement.
• Contract law as it relates to the structural considerations of a manager, fund offering or partnership, as well as distribution and service agreements governing the firm's sales practices and responsibilities for individual product
• Macro and micro economics and their impact on product performance, may be required.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field and a minimum of ten (10) years experience in the financial services industry
• Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) strongly preferred.
