Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The Opportunity:
RevMed's sophisticated structure-based drug discovery capabilities are built upon deep chemical biology and cancer pharmacology know-how, offering stimulating intellectual challenges and creative IP opportunities. This attorney will help manage, develop, and leverage a robust small molecule patent portfolio, focusing as the point-person for several composition of matter and related cases at various stages of R&D. As the third member of the Company's IP team, this person will have a chance to grow with the Company while helping to build the IP team. This attorney will regularly collaborate with the VP, IP and with senior scientific leaders and senior G&A management. The Company strongly values IP and will look to this attorney as a trusted strategic advisor.
Specific required experience, skills, and education:
Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related chemical science.
Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
D. from ABA accredited law school and a member in good standing of the California Bar, or eligible for in-house registration in California.
12+ years patent preparation and prosecution experience handling pharmaceutical small molecule matters via law firm training and/or in-house patent training.
Possess excellent judgment, negotiation, and communication (verbal and written) skills; able to simplify the complex and adapt to audiences with varying levels of legal fluency.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, anticipate challenges, and execute goals as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Collaborative, flexible, positive, and pragmatic work style.

Revolution Medicines currently requires that all personnel and visitors to its offices be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The expected salary range for this role is $194,000 to $260,000. An individual's position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
