Jefferson Healthcare (www.jeffersonhealthcare.org) is looking for a Director, Infection Prevention & Employee Health to lead our team. We are looking for a bachelor's prepared professional with at least 3 years of IP or EH leadership experience in an acute healthcare facility. Broad knowledge and familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and accreditation requirements is helpful and a desire to make a difference in the community through healthcare would be a great fit, as would a commitment to excellence. Reporting to the Chief Patient Safety & Quality Officer, this director is responsible for oversight of all functions of the Infection Prevention program. They will develop and maintain the policies and procedures to support successful quality/patient safety outcomes and ongoing improvement in the delivery of healthcare. They will also perform functions related to Employee Health. As a key leader within the organization, the Director, Infection Prevention & Employee Health will also ensure department activities and outcomes are aligned with the strategic plan and the organization's mission, vision and values.

This is a full time, exempt position, and will remain open until filled.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or bachelor's degree in related healthcare field required.
- Minimum three (3) years of Infection Prevention or Employee Health leadership in an acute health care facility required.
- CIC required per APIC guidelines or must be obtained within twelve (12) months of start date.

Responsibilities (selection, job description will contain full list):
Infection Prevention:
- Provides strategic support to achieve high level of quality performance and standardization through collaboration with local leaders and regional initiatives to improve health.
- Accountable for the annual development, implementation, and evaluation of Infection Prevention goals and objectives, plan, and risk assessment to reduce and control the risk of health care associated infections.
- Provides ongoing surveillance of infectious diseases present in the organization and takes appropriate steps to contain and prevent the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents in accordance with CDC guidelines and hospital policies.
- Co-chairs the Infection Control Committee with the Infection Control Medical Director to provide leadership and ensure surveillance activities and improvement plans are analyzed, implemented, and reported to the Executive Quality Council quarterly.
Employee Health and Wellness:
- Conducts regular rounds and performs internal audits as a tool to assure compliance with accreditation standards.
- Coordinates all accrediting body surveys and all technical aspects that accompany same. Acts as project manager for ISO certification.
- Provides education related to state, federal, and DNV standards including ISO certification standards.
