Form of workUniversity of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an Infection Prevention Nurse (RN).The Infection Prevention RN is responsible for integrating the UWMC philosophy, mission and goals into the infection control program plan to enhance safety, identify and reduce the risks of acquiring and transmitting infections among patients, staff, volunteers, students and visitors. They are a key member of the Infection Prevention Committees, providing clinical consultation, developing standards and policies, participating in QI, and providing educational services. They collaborate with leadership, faculty and staff in the development and implementation of care standards, policies, guidelines and protocols.
Serving as a staff resource, they provide educational opportunities such as new protocol education, specialty specific education and skills reinforcement education. WORK SCHEDULE Position is full time, day shift, hybrid of in-office and remote work. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other related degree Five years of clinical acute care nursing experience (Inpatient, ER, ICU) Certified in Infection Control or will become certified within an agreed-upon time.
