Job Summary:
Manages the operations of all health services or departments to ensure the operating integrity of the Health Plan and coordinates interdepartmental reports and statistics in accordance with medical standards of practice regulatory agency requirements.
Job Duties:
- Manages the day to day health services functions of the HealthChoices Business Unit.
- Assures that all performance standards meet or exceed internal and contractual requirements.
- Implements a process for continual quality improvement and departmental efficiencies within the HealthChoices department.
- Structures business requirements for any potential vendors and subcontractors to assure compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Forecasts staffing and training needs of the department.
- Develops policies and procedures to meet and exceed all regulatory and internal performance requirements.
- Serves as a liaison with external consultants and vendors, as well as, internal customers.
- Educates third parties of any complexities associated with projects and works collaboratively to achieve success in the most productive way possible.
- Trains staff in planning, developing, implementing and supporting projects concepts and provider communications.
- Manages staff, communicating and assigning tasks as appropriate, providing guidance as needed, performing routine and yearly performance evaluations, etc.
- Assists in development of annual budget for projects, provider communications, training activities and applicable expenses.
- Establishes project management policies and procedures including a framework for creating a sustainable program of continuous improvement.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details:
- Hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm. With typical after-hour manager support. Limited on-call in addition.
- Travel: Yes, this position manages a team throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Travel will be required.
- Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a related field or degree in progress.

Education:
