Your role

The Head of Growth Content is a key leader in Dialpad's marketing organization, driving organic growth through epic storytelling and content creation that educates and inspires the future of our industry. The leader will manage a team that develops content, customer stories, infographics, digital video content, and other editorial assets. Our ideal candidate is both creatively motivated and operationally skilled and has a track record of delivering on revenue and user growth goals, and as a passionate people leader, is committed to developing a high-performing team of editors, content creators, and SEO experts alike.
You'll craft compelling narratives about Dialpad's products and programs, and their impact on small businesses, upmarket industries and tailor them to specific audiences and channels. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, external partners, and creative agencies all around the world, you will identify opportunities to source, create, and share content that supports founders and our brand.
You are a master at story-telling structures, content mediums, and styles that have evolved dramatically in the past 5-10 years, and have figured out new ways to combine editorial, interactive content, and video and visual mediums in new ways to deliver engaging stories.

What you'll do

  • Define and execute our content strategy to cover all aspects of the customer journey from awareness to post-purchase for SMB and upmarket audiences
  • Scale our content studio and production capability, develop raw talent. We have amazing writers, designers – and we need to continue to create compelling opportunities for the team to grow and develop.
  • Partner with the demand gen team to ensure our content distribution strategy is tied to pipe, revenue generation, and outcomes.
  • Provide strategic direction and editorial guidance for content and messaging in external communication channels, including web, blog, social, video and email marketing.
  • Collaborates across functions and teams to develop and deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets.
  • The right candidate will play a critical role in the next phase of Dialpad's global growth by establishing the company as a content destination.
  • Develop an understanding of our audience segments to tailor content strategies accordingly.
  • Integrate content programs with brand campaigns to drive demand.
  • Lead and manage a team to develop new, engaging content across all mediums, ensuring that messaging is valued, relevant, concise, visually compelling, and channel-friendly.
  • Develop a functional content calendar that spans our core industries and lines of business.
  • Develop standards, systems, and best practices (human and technological) for content creation, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Manage editorial governance so that content is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone.
    Leverage customer & market data to develop content themes and execute the plan to develop assets that educate our customers and lead to critical behavioral metrics.

Skills you'll bring

  • 10+ years of content marketing experience, with particular experience in leading content strategy, editorial, and production teams for a top tier B2B or B2C company
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field. MBA in marketing a bonus.
  • Track record of delivering on organic growth goals (revenue, user growth)
  • Cross-functional leadership to influence without authority and take a vision from strategy to execution
  • Confidence in communication and presentation to all levels of the organization, up to C-team
  • Start-up mentality with the expertise of seasoned media executives.
  • Audience development and subscription strategies.
  • Skilled at long-form content creation and real-time (live) content creation and distribution tactics.
  • Passion for emerging media trends and technology.
  • Deep understanding of digital and social media metrics.
  • Actively coach, mentor, and manage the team.

$167,750—$207,083 USD
