Director, Finance & Strategy – Strategic Growth Initiatives
The Strategic Growth Initiatives Team will be responsible for the identification and prioritization of market growth opportunities (new and existing) to enable our business to grow. The Director of Finance & Strategy will help set the vision from the core responsibilities of forecasting and reporting to creating efficiency through automation and improving insights across the business at Expedia Group. This leader will manage a team and will require an individual that is passionate about continuous improvement, business partnership, and using data to drive insights.
What you'll do:
- Lead strategic initiatives to foster growth and implement innovative business models and infrastructure.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of all operating costs to identify areas for potential savings and efficiency improvements.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact business opportunities, driving process improvements for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop comprehensive recommendations and implementation plans, guiding stakeholders through transformative changes.
- Utilize extensive organizational insight to spearhead projects aligning with the company's mission and future objectives.
- Apply advanced financial acumen to forecast results, model financial statements, and optimize financial performance.
- Mentor and empower team members, fostering their professional growth and aligning their efforts with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic guidance and innovative solutions to address complex business challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- Coach managers in fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, facilitating productive development conversations.
- Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and driving system enhancements for greater efficiency.
- Drive the development and implementation of advanced financial models and tools to support informed decision-making.
- Facilitate talent development and cross-functional collaboration, placing individuals in roles conducive to their growth and organizational success.
- Utilize complex financial models to forecast financial results, model financial statements, and perform advanced analyses.

- Proven ability to influence and drive leadership to decisions and tangible outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts to all audiences.
- Results driven, highly motivated, and curious with a growth mindset and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
