Position Purpose
The Event Experience Director will ideate, drive, and execute both major and minor client and CIM associate events. The purpose of the role is to create memorable and differentiated experiences that build the CIM brand among clients, prospects, and associates across our different businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and leading the target experience and providing on-site support for key events including an annual CIM Investor Summit and an internal Sales Summit
- Building out and executing the experience for on-site and off-site investor engagement opportunities such as due diligence sessions and co-investment partner events
- Supporting a “road show mentality” as the company broadens and intensifies in-person fundraising
- Managing deliverables related to CIM participation in industry conferences and events
- Organizing and executing quarterly and semi-annual investment fund webinars via WebEx
- Bringing a vision for how CIM runs property tours
- Producing and distributing event recaps and other internal communication related to the events
- Hiring and managing one associate
Education/Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience in event management
- Worked with leading brands, ideally in technology or investment management industries
- Operated in a heavy sales-driven culture
- Demonstrated how events have meaningfully contributed to the success of a prior company
- Operated effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Managed multiple tasks while prioritizing among competing work assignments
- Functioned both independently and as an effective team player
- Skilled in creative problem-solving
- Flexible work hours and some travel will be required

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles is $135,000 - $185,000.
