Burlington's Ethics & Compliance program is focused on supporting and promoting an organizational culture of ethical business conduct and a commitment to compliance with law and policy. This position will continue to build and evolve forward the company's enterprise-wide compliance program, coordinating with the corporate, supply chain and store organizations. This position will drive the development, rollout, administration and monitoring of key compliance initiatives, systems, and controls in light of the company's regulatory and legal environment, needs and culture, as well as external benchmarking and best practice trends.
A Day In The Life
- Ethics & Compliance Program - Serve as day-to-day coordinator of the company's enterprise-wide compliance program, developing initiatives, driving best practices and building strong processes.
- Code of Conduct - Manage the development and awareness of the Code of Conduct, including serving as the initial point of contact for questions regarding the Code, as well as developing regular awareness and compliance training in coordination with Legal, HR, Communications, Supply Chain, Stores and other partners as appropriate.
- Policy Management - Manage the policy governance process, including processes related to policy updates, review and approval, distribution and acknowledgments in coordination with Legal, HR, Communications, Supply Chain, Stores and other partners as appropriate.
- Training and Communications - Manage and coordinate annual Ethics & Compliance training and communications plans. Design and develop programs and launch web-based and in-person compliance training initiatives on other topics in coordination with Legal, HR, Communications, Supply Chain, Stores and other partners as appropriate. Assist with trainings and support audits as needed.
- Compliance Systems, Ethics & Compliance Resources, etc. - Implement compliance platforms that support the company's compliance controls and data management; lead the development of company resources and tools to foster a culture of Ethics & Compliance, including an Ethics & Compliance intranet, newsletters, or other similar resources as appropriate.
To Be Successful You Will Possess
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certified or equivalent compliance certifications is a plus
- 8+ years prior work experience in a compliance function, advising companies on enterprise-wide compliance programs and/or administering and supporting such compliance programs
- Prior experience in project management
- Strong commitment to integrity, ethical business conduct and compliance with the law. Interest in compliance and legal topics and prior experience in supporting compliance with the law
- IT savvy and highly proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
- Familiarity with learning management systems, and an ability to quickly learn new technology, systems and programs
