As a successful candidate, you will:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strategic leadership to the Epic Systems Beacon and Willow pharmacy teams.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and mentor team members, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
Epic Systems Management:
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Epic Systems Beacon and Willow modules.
- Collaborate with clinical and pharmacy departments to ensure Epic Systems aligns with organizational needs and goals.
- Lead the development and execution of system enhancements and upgrades.
Budget Management:
- Manage budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor and control expenditures to stay within budget constraints.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to executive leadership.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT strategy with the overall organizational strategy.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the continuous improvement of IT systems in alignment with City of Hope's mission and objectives.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all IT operations, including the use of Epic Systems, adhere to relevant healthcare regulations and industry standards.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors related to Epic Systems, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to service level agreements.
- Security and Risk Management:
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect patient data and sensitive information.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats to IT systems.

Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MHA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare IT, with a focus on Epic Systems Beacon and Willow modules.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams in a healthcare setting.
- Strong budget management skills, with experience handling budgets of at least $4 Million.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Epic Systems certifications in Beacon and Willow are highly desirable.
