JOB SUMMARY 

The Director, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) oversees all aspects of the Enterprise Portfolio, ensuring enterprise programs and projects align with organizational goals & objectives, providing leadership insights into project portfolio health, implementing effective processes for project execution, and serving as a trusted advisor to leadership across the enterprise. The role, reporting to the Senior Director, Operational Excellence, is also accountable for creating and maintaining project management methodology, standards and governance as part of the EPMO's ongoing operations. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Establish best practice Portfolio Management methodologies and tools that are adapted and scaled appropriately (and pragmatically) to fit the business needs today and into the future. 
  • Work with the IT and CapEx PMOs to harmonize, further define, maintain, and implement a consistent project management methodology, including processes, tools, metrics and polices to ensure efficiency, quality, and business success. 
  • Build capabilities within the organization to provide project management ('PM') services, ensuring projects are delivered on time. 
  • Lead the organization in aligning to a customer-centric focus for execution / delivery of programs, projects and initiatives.  
  • Lead a cross-functional, enterprise-wide planning portfolio for in-scope initiatives and ensure effective execution by developing and monitoring fully integrated, project- and portfolio- level timelines, budget monitoring capabilities, and metrics. 
  • Establish guidelines so that the organization is enabled to select team members for projects who are equipped with the needed essential skills, experience, knowledge, and abilities to ensure project success. 
  • Establish strong partnerships with leaders from each function and site to support the success of projects, tasks and the portfolio in a productive and collaborative environment. 
  • Define and analyze metrics that form the foundation of high performance execution, ensure project health, and success of project delivery. 
  • Work closely with Internal Communications to regularly share project updates with the organization through various communication channels on a monthly or more frequent basis. 
  • Implement a process and structure to pro-actively identify and resolve risks and related dependencies that would prevent successful program execution, escalating issues to Senior Leadership as appropriate. 

 

LEADERSHIP SKILLS 

  • Capable of creating and implementing strategic plans, including identifying and managing internal and external stakeholders and partners. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Possess solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with various teams at each site with varying cultures.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaboratively influence and lead cross-functional internal (e.g., teams, including Operations, Quality, and global functions) and external partners and stakeholders through influence to deliver project objectives. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required. 
  • 10+ years' progressive experience in Project Management, business transformation, and/or business integration. 
  • Possess working knowledge of established and emerging process improvement methodologies. 
  • Capability to function in a matrixed environment with the team members and customers. 
  • Experience managing professional level staff with a strong talent management and people development skill set.  
  • Executive presence and the talent to communicate efficiently at all levels. 

Preferred: 

  • Advanced degree or in business administration or related field preferred. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. 
  • Knowledge or experience in biotechnology or biomanufacturing a strong plus. 

 

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$164,000 - $226,050

 

Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Benefits available to Team Members include subsidized insurance for the Team Member and designated dependents (medical, vision, dental, life and disability), eligibility to participate in the AGC Biologics 401(k) plan (including a generous matching contribution from the company and immediate vesting), vacation, sick time, and parental leave.

Team Members are also eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus commensurate to the level of the role. The payout is based on both the company's performance and the Team Member's performance.
