Description: The pay range is $125,600.00 - $226,100.00
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. A role within Enterprise Growth Initiatives means helping Target build beyond the core and create future focus for the organization. You will be part of a team of hybrid thinkers, actively leveraging each other's skills and knowledge, with a bias to deliver timely business impact. From exploration to activation, you will accelerate and prove new concepts that differentiate the guest experience and generate new revenue streams. Whether exploring new business models designed to meet guest needs or commercializing and integrating new growth back into the organization, you will ensure success by rapidly applying your expertise and fostering an entrepreneurial culture while leveraging the benefit of a large organization's knowledge and resources.

As an Enterprise Growth Initiatives, Director you will lead teams to identify, experiment, and drive new growth opportunities for Target. This could include (but is not limited to):
  • Provide bold vision, sound strategic judgment, day-to-day team leadership and development, structure, and project management through often ambiguous bodies of work in support of 2-3 new growth opportunities for Target.
  • Hold teams accountable to clear and aggressive milestones and learning plans; drive teams to define and create prototypes of varying fidelity to support both research and live, in-market experiments; accountability for clear and concise deliverables.
  • Partner across director group to develop best practices and methodologies around core competencies (e.g., human-centered design, experience design, consumer research, prototyping & experimentation); actively teach to TMs to create consistency in approach and output.
  • Bring future-facing perspective and deep industry expertise to influence and shape focus areas for exploration.
  • Operationalize strategies across key stakeholder groups using proven ability to navigate and influence internal and external networks; ideally brings a strong horizontal internal Target network (but not required)
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with ability to present in a variety of settings to teams and senior leadership
  • Hire, train and retain a multi-disciplinary team with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Establish development plans and manage performance by providing clear expectations and timely, consistent feedback and coaching.

About You:
  • 10+ years working experience, with specific experiences in an experiment-driven / entrepreneurial environment helping launch new products, services, experiences or businesses.
  • Strong executive project management skills. Must be able to provide structure, be proactive, navigate ambiguity, manage stakeholders, and coach creation of appropriate professional collateral; able to oscillate between "in the weeds" analyses and big picture thinking.
  • Proven ability to navigate and influence internal and external networks; experience developing and leading stakeholder relationships through establishing lasting and impactful partnerships.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, active listening, critical thinking, and presentation skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership and facilitating decision making.
  • Direct leadership experience and expertise guiding teams and supporting the development of individual team members.
  • Respects, appreciates and is curious about differences related to working with others; committed to developing an inclusive team.
  • Humility, resilience, learners mind, thrives in creating structure from ambiguity.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
