Sandata is seeking a Director, Engineering Product Delivery. In this role you will lead the engineering of one or more software products for an on-time delivery of high-quality products to meet market needs.

What You Will Do:

You will be a leading change agent within Sandata's delivery organization. As the Director of Engineering Product Delivery, you will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, and reporting of selected Sandata products. You will drive operational excellence within the software engineering team through robust budgeting and contract management. You will hire great talent and manage a team of Product Delivery engineers. Success in your role will ensure successful program execution and delivery of products according to project timelines. You are fully accountable for creating a culture of delivery excellence and managing the growth and development of the delivery leaders and scrum masters within your Product Oriented Delivery (POD).


Responsibilities:

  • Product Delivery Strategy
  • Leads the development for Product Delivery in collaboration with Agile Coach, Intake, Product and Engineering.
  • Recommends processes and tools to drive budgeting, planning, monitoring, and reporting of delivery, release and operations of products that vary in size.
  • Define metrics to define the success of Product Delivery, KPIs.
  • Strategic Program Delivery • Leads the creation of an overall program plan in collaboration with existing POD teams.
  • Reports on program status including plan tracking, resource, and cost dimensions.
  • Works with a cross functional team of individual scrum masters, service delivery managers and product owners to track program status.
  • Accountable for driving the resolution of dependencies, risks, and issues for the program; escalates to drive program outcomes based on product and leadership priorities.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting • Drives collaboration across different disciplines to complete annual budgeting.
  • Monitors burn and forecast in support of finance reporting.
  • Contract Support
  • Supports service provider and tools contract reviews.
  • Talent Management
  • Ensures proper staffing and resource planning across the Product Delivery organization to different tiles and PODs.
  • Mentors, supports, cultivates, and manages a strong team of Delivery Leads, Scrum Masters, and contractors to deliver against tile strategies.
  • Builds and grows the delivery team to develop top talent and ensure delivery success.
  • Creates a positive team environment where autonomy, mastery, and purpose are promoted through coaching, individual development, and performance standards.
  • Product Delivery Thought Leadership
  • Contributes to the development of the Agile Project Management craft and community through training and mentoring others, knowledge sharing, and stewarding best practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Additional Preferences:

  • 10+ years of overall software Product Delivery experience with 5+ years of experience in managing teams.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking with a deep understanding of and thought leadership in technology, Product Delivery, and the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating a large organization; ability to influence storytelling and data.
  • Experience leading and managing programs involving associate and vendor teams, while delivering value iteratively.
  • Comfortable presenting to C-level executives as well as senior business and technology leaders.
  • Experience with Portfolio setup and management to track and evaluate the delivery metrics of the teams within the engagement and drive continuous improvement to improve flow, quality, and value realization.
  • Experience with a distributed delivery model, leading diverse teams including experience managing and collaborating with cross-discipline teams.
  • Program management experience in scaled implementations leading high performing cross-functional product teams.
  • Deeply rooted in Agile, Lean, and continuous delivery principles that maximize the flow of value with a passion to extend this understanding throughout the organization.
  • Proficient in defining, evolving, and executing Agile maturity assessments; deep exposure to various frameworks on engineering/agile maturity frameworks.
  • Effective leadership, analytical skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
