Project Resources Group was founded in 2001 and has been a leader in construction management and plant damage recovery services since. At PRG, our mission focuses on providing strategic resources for our clients, delivering customized construction-related consulting solutions for Cable Multiple Systems Operators (MSOs) and other service providers.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Construction Project Management to lead and oversee the construction of critical telecommunications infrastructure across the Eastern United States. In this key role, you will be responsible for directing a talented team, ensuring project success through meticulous planning, execution, and risk management.
What you’ll do
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive telecommunications construction strategy for the assigned East Coast region, aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Manage a budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation and cost control.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks proactively, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Project Management:
- Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of multiple telecommunications construction projects, including fiber / HFC networks and FTTx / MDU, from pre-construction planning to final commissioning.
- Manage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the team, adhering to all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing team of telecommunications construction professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, promoting professional development and career growth.
- Delegate tasks effectively and empower team members to take ownership of their projects.
- Operational Excellence:
- Continuously review and improve project management processes, implementing efficient systems and technologies.
- Analyze project data and identify areas for improvement, driving cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in telecommunications construction methods and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing complex construction projects in the telecommunications industry.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in project management software and industry-specific tools.
