Operation Smile Student Programs empowers youth globally through advocacy, education, leadership and service. The Director, Alumni Programs, plays a pivotal role in cultivating and nurturing relationships with our student alumni. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a robust alumni database, foster engagement through various platforms, and contribute to the growth of our global network.
Essential Functions:
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of student alumni, starting from the high school graduating class of 1985.
- Manage and curate content for the Student Alumni LinkedIn and other social media platforms to foster meaningful connections.
- Establish diverse engagement opportunities, including chaperoning students on programs, mentoring, and collaborating with workplaces for partnerships.
- Lead the establishment of Regional Junior Boards, organizing monthly meetings, small networking events, and an annual fundraiser.
- Collaborate with the AVP of Student Programs to evaluate and refine strategies for alumni alignment with current and future programming.
- Collaborate with undergraduate university programs to track and connect with young professionals, planning events across the US.
- Foster connections with graduate students and their schools in medical, dental, speech, nutrition, and psychology fields.
- Work with Global Director and LAC Associate to establish international junior boards outside the US, encouraging alumni-organized events.
- Collaborate with the Development staff to align donors with impactful student alumni projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Prior experience in fundraising and development preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years working within a university student alumni capacity.

- Previous involvement with Operation Smile is highly preferred.
