Job Summary
The Director of Advertising Sales serves as a key member of the regional leadership team responsible for setting strategy, developing culture and driving results by developing and motivating people. Accountable for achieving assigned revenue targets associated with regions or segments of accountability. Monitors and delegates the work of sales managers and account executives as well as continually evaluating sales performance and modifying plans to achieve better results. Provides leadership and direction for team which may include multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategy for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget. Reporting to the Regional Vice President.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Recruit, motivate and coach teams.
- Develop and lead team/organizational strategies to support Advertising/Effectv/FreeWheel Operating Plans.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor/assess business, financial and team performance and make strategic adjustments as needed.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners and internal teams.
- Effectively communicate team/organizational goals, strategies, and results to external stakeholders.
- Analyze complex business challenges and develop innovative solutions to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Keep up with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in the organization.
- Lead initiatives to optimize processes, enhance organizational capabilities and achieve operational excellence.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of managers and professionals.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
