The Intensive Apartment Program (IAP) is designed to support individuals where they live in the community. The majority of individuals supported in the IAP live in the Metro Milwaukee area and are contracted through a Managed Care Organization (MCO) to provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. The individuals served within this program are 18 years of age or older and have a diagnosis of an intellectual disability, physical disability or behavioral disability.
The following are services provided in the IAP:
- Daily Living Skills Training – Teaching individuals skill development so that they may achieve greater independence. Tasks may include personal cares, dressing, food preparation, money management, safety practices, housekeeping, utilization of community resources and training on safety issues.
- Daily Living Skills Maintenance – This service focuses on staff monitoring of the tasks that the individual has learned, as well as monitoring of skill retention, medications, medical appointments, and financial management. Some individuals may require some level of maintenance to maintain their level of independent living.
- Supportive Home Care – These services are hands on tasks that may include personal cares, transferring, grocery shopping, toileting, medication administration, and nursing delegated tasks.
Transportation is provided by IAP staff to social activities, shopping and medical appointments. Staff need to be flexible when providing services and plan services and times of support with the individual and program director.
Documentation of the delivery of services as well as the progress of the individuals is recorded by the direct care staff in daily progress notes as well as on the electronic goal programs and EVV daily check-ins.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour with wage increases available after 90 days of employment
Weekend Shift Differential: Additional $2 per hour on weekends

Scheduled Hours: Part-time / approximately 24 hours per week – 12 hours per week of in-person visits, plus 10 hours per week of EVV (electronic visit verification) phone calls and documentation (this portion can be done remotely or from a Dungarvin office)
Week 1:
Sunday – OFF
Mon – 2 hours EVV phone check-ins and documentation
Tue, Wed, Thu & Fri – 10a-1p, plus 2 hours EVV phone check-ins and documentation
Sat – 2 hours EVV phone check-ins and documentation
Week 2:
Sun – 2 hours EVV phone check-ins and documentation
Mon – 2 hours EVV phone check-ins and documentation
Tue, Wed, Thu & Fri –10a-1p, plus 2 hours EVV phone check-ins and documentation
Sat – OFF
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must have current auto liability insurance
- Must have reliable vehicle (you will use your personal vehicle to transport clients and will be reimbursed for mileage)
- Must have smartphone with data capability (you will receive a bi-weekly phone stipend)
