SalaryA Caring Heart Case Management is seeking part-time to fill multiple positions as direct care workers to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities in one of our group homes located in the Jacksonville area.
Schedule:
- Shifts: 7 AM -3 PM, 3 PM - 11 PM, 11 PM - 7 AM (every other weekend required with all shifts)
Requirements:
- Must be dependable with a good work ethic.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and safe driving record.
- Must have a valid drivers license and state minimum auto insurance.
- Background checks will be performed on all applicants.
- Willingness/highly motivated to assist clients with working out and building muscle tone.
- Confidence in working with clients that exhibit aggressive behaviors.
- Self-control and patience when dealing with escalated behaviors i.e. verbal provocation.
- Strong characteristics to handle individuals with explosive disorders.
- Ability to learn and execute de-escalation strategies to handle crisis situations in a competent manner.
Nice-to-have:
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

About This Position (Habilitation Technician):
- All trainings will be provided by A Caring Heart Case Management Inc.
- Direct support services provide instruction to individuals to help them learn, retain, or improve skills for maximal functioning.
- Skill building focuses on self-care, household maintenance, social and communication skills, money management, social and community inclusion, mobility employment, and self-regulation.
- Services will be provided in the home, community, and day program.
