WHAT YOU WILL DO:
DSP/Caregiver - To be successful in this role as a Direct Support Professional you'll need to be mindful of and empathetic toward residents' disabilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to interact with residents in a way that helps them lead independent and productive lives. Job responsibilities for a DSP can include assisting with personal care needs, administering medication, and performing housekeeping duties. DSPs should promote participation in a range of activities and help foster meaningful interactions between residents and the community.
Behavioral DSP - to be successful in this role we are looking for candidates with prior experience with intense high behaviors, both verbal and physical! You will provide support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and people who are faced with mental health, behavioral, and/or significant medical challenges. We are looking to hire staff who are patient, have good decision-making and crisis-management skills, and who will not be intimidated by these behaviors. Prior IDD, mental health, psychiatric, and/or security experience is strongly preferred.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. (proof of valid DL is required)
- Candidates must be comfortable driving company vehicles to transport clients as required.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Certifications & trainings (CBRF, CNA, CPR, etc.) are appreciated but not required
