We are looking for a Community Instructor for our Hinton office. This position provides services that include practical help and supports needed to help consumers obtain the necessities of daily living, transportation, protective oversight and supervision. Additional services include the provision of direct services such as assisting consumers with grocery shopping or providing transportation to appointments. Attending to the basic needs of the consumers is an important function of the supported living program. These needs such as personal care, nutrition, housing and financial management, can be a good indicator of how well a person’s symptoms are being controlled or alleviated. This position works with adults serious mental illness and substance use disorders.
This position is primarily Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm and will be based out of our Hinton, WV office.

- Provides protective oversight to all consumers
- Implements the individual treatment plan, skill training plans, behavior management plans, and completes all required documentation
- Demonstrates use and understanding of intervention techniques such as role modeling, reinforcement schedules, hierarchies or prompting while respecting the dignity of the consumer.
- Transports consumers and maintains vehicle in accordance with FMRS transportation policy and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergency situations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid WV Driver's License in good standing with access to a personal vehicle
- Be physically capable of effectively utilizing CPI & CPR techniques
***This position pays a $1000 bonus, paid over the course of six months of active employment. The payout structure is $300 at 30 days, $300 at 90 days, and a final payment of $400 at six months of active employment. Terms will be discussed at interview.
