Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to residents in an assisted living or nursing home setting
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document medication administration accurately
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Implement care plans and assist with therapeutic activities for residents with dementia or memory impairments
- Ensure resident safety and promote resident rights and dignity at all times
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment
- Perform heavy lifting and transferring of residents as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care or dementia care is highly preferred
- First aid certification is required
- Knowledge of resident rights and regulations in assisted living or nursing home settings
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
