Are you working towards a degree in Art Therapy and would like to gain hands-on experience by utilizing those skills with an individual with autism?

Seeking a strong and driven Direct Support Professional (DSP) who excels in their responsibilities to work with a young adult living at home with his family. His family is interested in having a variety of arts-based techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media be introduced to promote a sense of wellness, confidence, and healing.

As a DSP, you are highly dependable, promote independence, have experience working with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, and familiarity with de-escalation is preferred.

Candidate must be willing to have a background check, drug test, be fingerprinted and a motor vehicle abstract completed.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
No smoking permitted on the property.

Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care is a plus!

Salary: $21 to $23 per hour (based on experience)
