Lean Process Engineer
Start your new career as a Lean Process Engineer with MAU’S client in Greer, SC. As a Lean Process Engineer, you will lead and support the design, development, implementation, and validation of warehouse processes and methodologies. You will improve operational efficiencies while maximizing storage space utilization. This is a direct hire opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or other related technical fields
- Lean Six Sigma certification (desired)
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to lead groups and delegate tasks
- Essential follow-up aptitude to ensure successful implementation
- Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate, and coach co-workers through challenges of change
- Ability to financially evaluate multiple options, providing ROI calculations on proposed recommendations
- Willingness and capacity to coach team members, developing a “train the trainer” approach across the organization
- Exceptional analytical, creative, and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and time management aptitude
- Ability to work as an integral part of a team
- Computer system knowledge (MS Office, SAP or comparable WMS/ERP systems, Outlook, etc.)
- Willingness to travel for 75% of assigned tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Standardize receiving, picking, and shipping processes
- Develop and implement solutions that focus on reducing lead time throughout value streams
- Actively utilize Lean principles and problem-solving techniques to design, implement, and continuously improve warehouse processes
- Reduce cost by eliminating supply chain and material handling waste
- Facilitate warehouse layout improvements to maximize space requirements, optimize utilization, and reduce waste
- Actively pursue new systems and technologies for inter-connected supply chain value streams
- Lead the development of key metrics to monitor the effectiveness of warehouse operations
- Participate in and support the development of the company WMS and ERP systems
- Serve as a change agent, creating the “why” and challenging the status quo
- Effectively communicate across the multi-location environment
- Perform other tasks as assigned
