Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need of care and support. This position requires a range of skills including behavior management, medication administration, and meal preparation. Responsibilities: - Provide Direct Care and support to individuals with various needs, including but not limited to seniors, individuals with autism, and those requiring hospice care - Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration - Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment - Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans - Foster independence and promote socialization through engaging activities Skills: - Experience in behavior management techniques - Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices - Proficient in medication administration protocols - Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities - Compassionate and patient approach to caregiving - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
