Description
Paradise Valley Country Club, a premier private country club in the heart of Arizona, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Dining Room Manager. This is a new position at Paradise Valley Country Club and will be critical in meeting our goals and objectives of delivering exceptional food and beverage services to the Membership consistently. In this multifaceted position, you will play a pivotal role in supervising Member and guest Dining Room and beverage service while ensuring high standards of appearance and hospitality. The pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
Dining Room Manager:
- Working closely with the Food and Beverage Director, manage all front-of-the-house food and beverage team members and associated Dining Room operations.
- Ensure visibility and actively engage with the Membership and staff during a la carte lunch, dinner, and Club event operations.
- Direct/develop all food and beverage front-of-the-house training initiatives that drive the Member dining experience. Ensure accountability and proactively address any shortcomings.
- Collaborate with the F&B leadership team in staff development and Member dining programs. Ensure innovation and high levels of Member participation for all dining and Club event offerings.
- Manage within budgetary requirements, accurately forecast revenues, beverage cost of goods sold, payroll, and other expenses. Communicate weekly financial trends and overall performance.
- Assist in developing and implementing food and beverage programming that increases Member utilization and overall satisfaction.
- Maintain reservation system for a la carte dining, holidays, and Club events, coordinating with other department heads.
Inventory Management
- Experience with BevSpot inventory management software.
- Report pricing discrepancies and update inventory tracking.
Additional
- Fulfill any duties assigned by the Food and Beverage Director to support the wine and a la carte dining programs offered at PVCC.
- Operate and program the point-of-sale system effectively. Address member concerns and disputes while maintaining composure under pressure.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
- Passion for providing exceptional dining service levels
- Exceptional people skills with effective communication abilities.
- A team builder who can drive Membership satisfaction and utilization within the Dining Room facilities to a new level at PVCC.
- Strong understanding of pricing, budgets, and cost controls related to wine, food, and all other beverage offerings.
- Proficiency in operating and programming point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills in inventory management and communication.
- Effective team player with the ability to work well in a large group.
- Proficient in handling member concerns and constructive feedback while maintaining composure and professionalism.
